Apple Peelers & Cranberry Apple Sauce
If you have kids in your life & don't have an apple peeler, I highly recommend getting one! They cost about $25 & will give you lots of good times in the kitchen. You can slice & peel dozens of apples in no time at all to use in apple pies, cobblers, dehydrated apple slices, apple sauces & just for eating plain. The options are endless & it's such a fun tool. Kids love the apple peeler! My little helper peeled four apples yesterday & would have kept going if we had had more apples to peel. :-)
Once we peeled the apples I asked Avery to help me create a delicious new recipe. We brainstormed for a minute & then threw our ingredients into the blender to work its magic. We decided on a cranberry apple sauce & the outcome is delicious! See recipe below & ENJOY!
serves 3-4
4 large apples, peeled & cored
3/4 cup of fresh cranberries
1 tsp of cinnamon
2 Tbs raw coconut sugar, honey or maple syrup
Place ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor & blend until smooth & creamy. Eat up! :-
